russian taste test

here is the russian ration

this is chocolate desert and sugar

this is meat pate and usa m&ms

this is crackers vitamin pil and hand wipes

this is plum jam and plum&raisin sports bar

this is pork with rice,didnt finish this dinner something in me said no go

this is ground beef with barley grains,this was good

I wonder if those entrees would be more appealing if they were pouched rather than trayed.

Those are great pictures, norge. I'm amazed you ate as far into that ration as you did. Again...too bad we don't have "scratch n' sniff" for the web.

Nice to see the M&M's.
The Mars Corporation jumped into the former Soviet Union immediately after the fall of Communism and has built a strong market for their candy there. I have read that Snickers and M&M's are very popular now.

Funny, it looks like the corned beef & rice I cooked for my lunch: it tasted OK but looked terrible

Looks exactly the same as the German EPa pate container till 1990, just different labeled

yeah thats true.... it really looks like its the same - perhaps this are the "old" EPAs pate

That's what the pork and rice dish looked like to me as well.
