UK WW II Emergency Ration - What was inside? How to make chocolate?

Hello everyone!

I just get this can yesterday and I'm really interested into doing homemade "reproduction" of chocolate bar that was inside.
But I have a question (Stupid one ^^) - Does anybody know the recipe of that almost 80 years old chocolate? Is here any way to obtain this? I will ask UK Archives - maybe I will find anything but I want to ask everyone I know if somebody knows anything about it.

And 2nd question - Does anyone know maybe a reproduction shop which sells chocolate that fit in this can? I'm sure I heard of some reproduction group that had WW II reproduction of that chocolate for sale that fits perfectly into this ration.

If you guys have any contact that can help me with this problem I will really appreciate it! I want to do literally everything to find and do this "real" ~75 years old chocolate.

One of the possible ingredients may be a little hard to obtain now... it used to contain either amphetamine sulphate or benzedrine sulphate.

That's a furphy, albeit a much beloved furphy.

As per the 1941 specifications, the WWII British Emergency Ration chocolate contained the following -

Double-refined cocoa
Lait-proto No. 6 (made from caesin)
Bicarbonate of soda
Refined icing sugar
Pure cocoa butter.

However, add some amphetamines and let us know how you went.

Linked from the article i posted,
3 oz of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate chips or chunks.

1 oz of Table Sugar

1/3 oz of Nonfat Dry Milk

3 table spoons Oat Flour

2 to 4 drops Vanilla Extract

Paraffin Wax as needed (Gulf canning wax works fine)

1 D Ration mold (Mine is a soap disk big enough to make 2 rations. I
had to cut the bottom off with my table saw.)

All of these ingredients are available at any grocery store. Ok here’s
how to cook it up.

That's more like US D-Ration chocolate. Quite different to the WWII British emergency ration chocolate.

The ingredients I posted above are correct for the British WWII emergency ration chocolate which of course is what this thread is about.
