Depends on what YOU like and what you don´t.

Exactly! It is entirely subjective. If you hate pate, a lot of the European rations will end up having it. Some have food that is almost restaurant quality, while others seem like a step below Chef Boyardee.

Where are you located Robin?
I might be able to get you some rations for a cheaper price than surplus and outdoors.

Most likely you will find the rations you seek for less here that in stores so give a look to the buy/sell forum!

The other's have already said, but I'll reiterate that it depends on what you like, and how adventurous you are in your culinary exploration. Expensive doesn't always mean better, and less expensive doesn't necessarily mean poor quality. There's a ton of knowledgeable people on here who can offer tips depending on what type of tastes you have, budget, etc. Just beware that once you start trying different rations, you tend to get hooked, as many of us can attest to.

If you like slow cooked stews, go for the spanish and Croatian!
