Great pics, norge. After seeing all of these rations from you, I am now officially insanely jealous. At least jubifahrer only taunts us with pictures of his collection on shelves...but you...you have to open them up and display them in all their glory! :-)

Does your friend in Texas have any more Australian rations? I've been wanting to get my hands on a couple of those but they rarely come up in eBay.

hi kman,
first i had to look at the dictionary, whats the meaning of "taunts".

i dont want to taunt/ ridicule someone with the pictures of my collection. i think also housil wants this not to do.

we are only happy to find a forum like this, where people understand, what we are doing, why we spend so much money for this hobby.

collecting military rations isnt a hobby which you can show everyone so we make the pictures to share our collection with you. i visit and call my friend housil very often, we are living only 30 minutes away. we collected all the years alone, dindt belive that someone on the world is so cracy to collect mres too.

also i phoned yesterday the first time with mreheater72, iam very happy to meet him in two weeks.

hope i used the rigth words and you understand me, maybe i understand your words in the wrong way, because english is not my mother tongue, so please forgive me.

bye

Hey jubifahrer - dirtbag has it right - I was just making a joke - that's why I put the smiley face on the end of my message. :-)

I realize that humor can be difficult to understand when you're trying to read a language that is not your native language. I'll try to be a little more obvious in the future when I'm making a joke. You and all the other non-native-english-speaking members are doing a great job of communicating here. I've been on the other side of this language divide (english speaker trying to communicate with russians) so I understand how tough this can be.

But back to my "joke"...when I say you are taunting us, I mean that in a very complimentary way. You have one of the best ration collections I've seen. It is true that everytime I see a picture of your collection, I think "wow...I wish I had all those rations"...but I am glad every time you post the pictures because they are fun to see.

So please keep posting your pictures! I am not trying to drive you away. :-)

One would argue that your English will never improve by speaking with Americans.....

Joking!

Heh heh...that's pretty funny, Demoncase. It's even funnier because I live in "the South" - the southern part of the US - and there are plenty of Northerners who would say they can't understand us, either.
