No Arabic writing?

Could be on the other side of the bag.

I have a little nugget in my brain, seems I learned in school (way back when) that English and French were considered the two International languages by the UN, and that even when traveling to exotic locales that you could almost always find someone who spoke one of the two languages. If so it would stand to reason why English is on the bag, but then wouldn't there be French also?

English and French are NATO official languages, UN have 6 languages, Arabic is one of them. I think all UAE officers are trained and schooled in USA or UK, US military have base there and UAE host IDEX http://www.idexuae.ae/ where everything is in English. This ration looks similar to UN and Portuguese, for UN Halal meals are made by Junta de Islamica: that can be checked when the owner opens the ration.

United Arab Emirates
The UAE utilizes a European-style combat ration pack containing food and accessories for one soldier for 24 hours. Packed in the UAE utilizing imported components, the ration box measures 245 mm × 195 mm × 115 mm and weighs 2.0 kg. Inside are 4 resealable (ziplock type) plastic bags, labeled in both Arabic & English, containing Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Miscellaneous.

A typical Breakfast bag has 2 foil-wrapped packages of hard brown biscuits, 1 small jar of apricot jam, a can of tuna, and an accessory pack (plastic spoon, salt, pepper, and napkin).

Lunch contains a retort pouch of precooked rice, a retort pouch of chicken curry, a pouch date pudding, and another accessory pack.

Dinner has a retort pouch of pasta rigatoni, an envelope instant soup, and a third accessory pack.

The Miscellaneous bag contains a small bag of hard candy, 4 packets of sugar, 4 tea bags, 2 small envelopes of milk powder, and 3 foil envelopes of instant orange juice powder.

Also included are: a can of fruit, a package of ramen noodles, 2 flameless chemical ration heaters, a menu/instruction sheet, 1 pack dried hummus powder, and a book of matches.

Think it's genuine guys.
Got one a few months ago also from Uk ebay.
Was early in my ration hunting so was stupid enough to eat most
of it without doing some photos.
Still got a few bits left, but not many.
The stuff inside does have arabic on it as well.
Hopefully my attachments should show one of the drinks in it.
Will have dig the other bits out of one of my boxes in the garage.

Yep, from what I can remember it's incredibly similar to the reviews I've
seen of the UN ration. I think it's even the same menu I had.
I reckon you'll be happy with it.

The arabic is on the other side of the bag.
I've found my remains in the garage, including the bag.
Apologies for the slightly rubbish photos.
Will try to get some better ones done.
Looks like most of the contents I have left are crackers,
jam, and stuff from the accessory pack.

Thanks! I've got the same menu. What was the Kabsa main?!

The kabsa was like a spicy rice dish with bits of chicken in it, as far as I can remember.
Wasn't particularly spicy to me. Was generally ok. The tuna main I gave away, as I'm not
a big fan of fishy stuff. Now I'm a bit more ration hardened, I would give it a go.
