Buying Euro rations from ebay
Buying Euro rations from ebay
Hey guys,
Last week I bought 3 rations (French, Denmark and British) from lithuania.post user on ebay.
Now I'm starting to worry a little, my tracking #'s are showing this status since August 4th - "The item sent from the office of exchange of origin country to the destination country"
I'd think that by now all 3 parcels would have landed in the US and the status would show that?
Am I just being impatient and paranoid about customs ? Anyone from US ordered from lithuania.post ? If, so how long did it take ?
Thanks

Re: Buying Euro rations from ebay
I purchased from Lithuania.Post three times now and so far they always came before the estimated time on eBay. I dunno if their customs takes a long time to get to ours or something but theres always a gap in between when USPS get their hands on it.
For my last package back in July it took 9 days for delivery.

I got a Lithuanian Dry ration from Lithuania and it arrived ahead of schedule. Obviously this isn't your case
I didn't order from the same eBay user as you but shipping from Eastern Europe can take alot of time. Try contacting the vendor to see the status of your parcels, informing them of the status of your rations might come in handy. Also check your country's local postal service to see if they arrived in your country yet.

Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Re: Buying Euro rations from ebay
I can tell how it is from Poland. The economy parcel - it is a surface mail - in this case - a ship. It takes 4 weeks to arrive to the US and a couple of days to transport it by US Post. If it takes longer - this can mean that the customs are enjoying your meals...
The priority pack should be by air mail but it costs 1,5 - 2 more than economy. Delivery time - about 6 workdays.

Re: Buying Euro rations from ebay
My longest shipment Europa -> US was almost three month (I guess they rowed it over...)
Sending Parcels Ger -> US, they convert my German DHL tracking # into a USPS tracking #.
Check for this too. Sometimes my parcels have arrived for two month and tracking still say´s "en route"...

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll wait another week and if nothing changes I will contact the seller.
Re: Buying Euro rations from ebay
I bought from that seller a bunch of times and I always get stuff a lot sooner than the eBay estimate.

Was your tracking information accurate? or did it get stuck like mine? ThanksMAbreuRN wrote:I bought from that seller a bunch of times and I always get stuff a lot sooner than the eBay estimate.
Re: Buying Euro rations from ebay
I tracked it via http://www.post.lt/en/help/parcel-search and it seemed pretty accurate as I recall. It's been a little over a month since the last time I bought from them so I don't remember 100%. I do remember though that the stuff always arrived sooner than eBay estimated.SNiiP3R wrote:Was your tracking information accurate? or did it get stuck like mine? I see. Well, ebay says I should get it by August 24th. So, I guess I should just wait and ignore the tracking. I know that sometimes the tracking info is not working properly. Thanks!
