How hard/firm is "fresh" Scho-Ka-Kola ?
The tin I have is perfectly edible, and not badly whitened, but it's very very hard

No harder than any other thicker chocolate. It doesn't take much force to bite through a wedge.

Thank you for sharing this, Laughing_man!
If I won that auction - I am afraid the contents would be at risk... not being spoiled, but at risk from me eating them!
I just ate the oldest chocolate ever recorded yesterday, reminds me I gotta publish that video on YT! It really wasn't all that great anymore.. it was 71 years old!

Another user sells the same item as this.
http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... w139099440
However, it is an item of the West Germany Forces of the 1950s instead of WW2.
A seller says that the stamp of "DIN 40" means not 1940 but engineering specification.
I bought one of them.
I will eat this, if I'm steve1989.
