Search for vegemite - the aussies love it on a buttered toast and then spread it on very thin! Or use it as an spice for the meal!
Beans for Breakfast are unusal here in germany too, but I like them - sometimes!

Yeast Extract = Vegemite
I though had a tube that said yeast extract but cant find it

It has some interesting flavors, several different opinions about how to describe it.
some say it tastes like eating a bullion cube
some say it tastes like sunflower seed paste concentrate
everyone agrees its salty though

ive tried the yeast extract and didnt really like it .but a friend told me to add it to boiling water .and its really nice on cold days ,it almost reminded me of the old oxo cubes in the old british rations
