does anyone have more actuall data avout the french RCIR?
http://www.mreinfo.com/international/fr ... -rcir.html
especially about the calories of the single items. the complete ration is about 3300 kcal but single...?
i guess there is no exact list whats in it, is it?
they swap mainmeals each date. for example: nr 1 - 13.06.2010 has other main meals than nr 1 - 14.06.2010.

acutall RCIR are 1,7 kg per ration - not 1,5 kg.

One thing i hate about having type 2 diabetes is that the rations of pretty much every country represented on this website are just about the worse thing i could eat! The french RCIR seems to approach something more of a "balance" as do the German EpAs, but unfortunately the british 24 hour rationpacks have an over-abundance of "goodies." (and don't even get me started on OUR MREs!

) Of course, since in America a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes is a military career ender, our rations development does not take this into account (my military service ended because of my type 2 diabetes).

I'm also a diabetic Type 2 and trust me I like MRE's but you're right EPa's and RCIR's are more balanced in their contents.
Also some asian ones with plenty of veggies although their sodium content is a killer.

Food for the " silent assassin",HBP....
But in a survival situation anything goes....
