Does anyone else who knows Brit ratpacks remember 'Training Rations' from a few years back?

Only issued them once but I remember I was well jealous of my oppo who got lamb balti! Seem to remember them being dehydrated meals in a green paper bag instead of a retort pouch.

Did these exist or am I just misremembering it? And did they get rid of them pretty sharpish? I guess it was to save on ORP when only training but they wouldnt be as good as ORP for proper field training, and if you are stuck in a farm somewhere in SENTA they could just bring up the CQMS's party with field kitchen anyway...

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I was thinking about these the other week and wondered if they really existed or were something that had been thrown together for the exercise we were on in 2001.

I had some bits and pieces left of some of them until last year when I had a clear out, but I remember the two whole vacuum packed frankfurters being the best of it. The noodles weren't bad either when mixed with the soup packet. I never could get the rice pudding to go soft though...
