Russian IRP item label translations

Post by fdsman » Wed Aug 26, 2009 2:54 pm

Since the google/yahoo translations are poor, I found the correct translations for most of the contents of the modern IRP.

1.говядина натуральная (one of the main entrees) - Canned Beef
2.каша дорожная рисовая с говядиной (One of the main entrees) - Kasha Beef Porridge
3.консервы мясные фарш (round/rectangular package) - Canned luncheon meat
4.паштет (round package, with 3 Russian military members on label) meat pate
5.хлебцы армейские (small package, 4 count) - Crackers
6.соус томртный (liquid/sauce consistency package) - Tomato sauce
7.повидло фруктовое(яблочное)-(liquid/sauce consistency package) - Jam Apple/or Strawberry flavored
8.летний (small package) - Powdered Lemonade
9.напиток молокосодержащий (small package) - Fortified milk
10.чай - (small package) - Tea
11.кофе натуральный растворимый (small package) - Coffee
12.сахар песок - (small packages, 5 count) - Sugar
13.горох отварной -(small block shaped package) pea soup bouillon block
14.(website owner forgot 14)
15.поливитамины - (small package with tablet) Vitamin tablet

Just a little something extra,

1. 3 napkins (dry)
2. 1 spoon
3. 1 can opener
4. 3 napkins (wet)
5. 1 hexamine stove with 4 fuel tablets
6. 6 wind/waterproof matches with striker
7. 1 package of water purification chemicals
8. Plastic bag

all of which are contained in a plastic bag

17.IRP instructions and contents list

As soon as one of these babies arrives I'm going to make the 3rd episode of the Ration Ration review with a different feel.

#13 is a russian copy of the erbswurst?
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

More or less but I think it's just pea soup stock since it doesn't come in a tube with tablets, its either powder or a big block.
