The ration of the U.N. forces is sold at the Japanese auction.
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m59293325

It is written that this ration is made in France.
The price started for 10,000 yen.
(It exceeds US$ 100!)

Does someone have information about this ration?

Thank you! :D

I did not know that the U.N. forces were making original ration.
I read with the book that the U.N. forces which were stationed to Macedonia were using the ration of Canada.
Although, as for the soldier of Canada, only one person participated, it is written that Canada offered many of rations.

The 3rd picture is a tuna of MRE.
The seller has said that it is an addition.

Why do they call it "occidental" ?! Is it like all the "halal" and "kosher"-stuff?!
English language is first, than french. Would it be french made, french would be first to my opinion (Stef, isn“t it  )

Hi,
it looks French but I've never seen it before. I guess "occidental" means "beware: it's not kosher, it's not hallal, it's not hindu/vegetarian" so our UNO friends don't go to the hell because of us

It looks like the UN feeds its peace keepers with rations from the members countries specially France. Also it depends of the mission. And yes "Occidental" is to distinguish them from "Hallal"...

I found some pics of different types of rations used by the UN "bluehats"...Enjoy! :D
