How do I get these?

OK, there are a lot of interesting rations on this board, an the hundred dollar question is: How do I go about acquiring these? The German and French rations look really interesting, and the Singapore ones look dubious, but if I could get a case at a decent price, I'd check them out. Ebay is concentrating on the US rats, and those are easy enough to come by at my local gunshows and such, so I'm good on those. (Plus I still have almost a case left from the 3 I bought for Y2K... gotta roatate stock you know :)) So does the http://www.goldenseason.com.sg/ site allow you to purchase in case quantities? I've looked through it, but have had little luck.

Hi robb969 - welcome to the forums!

I've received some emails before from that goldenseason.com.sg company. They strike me as more of a producer/distributor than the type of company that actually sells to end users. But you could always try emailing them and asking. If you can't find a contact address on their web site, I can send you one.

As for finding French and German rations, your best bet is still ebay. But don't got to to ebay.com - go to:

http://www.ebay.fr
and
http://www.ebay.de

You'll need to be able to read (or babelfish) French and German but you should be able to find some rations. Good luck with the shipping charges!

This guy is selling RCIRs w/ international shipping. Its a bit steep, but quite hard to find them with international shipping.

So that comes out to how much?....maybe US$20? That's not too bad - I mean, it's a lot more than an MRE but if you just want one or two for the collection...

It would be cool to get some WWI rations from the US side. Ever seen any of those up for auction kman? Actually, there is no info on the site about real early rations say from Civil War up to WWI. I saw an episode of Mail Call where they talked about rations as early as the Civil War on through the ages and it was pretty interesting. They ate hard tack I think it was called.

Thanks for the recipe, robb969! I tried something like this last year but I only baked it the one time, let it cool, then packaged it in pastic bags. And just like the recipe says, it got moldy after a week. I'll have to give this another try with the second baking.
