Sovieit Rats on Ebay

Post by DangerousDave » Sun Jan 06, 2008 3:13 pm

I was just wondering, has anyone ever ordered one of those buckwheat groats hand-carried Russian rat. Some dude in the Ukraine is hawking them again. I'd rather go to the local store and buy a bucket of chitterlings. The pack looks really cool, with the hand-held polyethelene strap, for carrying it.

You mean one of these auctions:

I haven't picked up one myself, but katojapan did a video review of a similar one not too long ago. I put a copy of it up here:

If the cracker industry ever fails in Russia, the average Russian GI is going to be totally screwed..... :(

Hey Kman ---- that second link you've posted doesn't open to a viable link (for me at least...... all I get is a large box with the dreaded RED X ). Yikes!

I don't even get the red x.

I'd love to get a couple of those rations. That $35 price tag is a bit steep, though. After you add in the $25 shipping, the cost jumps to $60. That's a lot of green for one ration.

That was weird - the YouTube embed code for that page got messed up. I fixed it so the page should work now. But just in case, here's the direct link to katojapan's video:
