Hi everybody. I have questions about these Japanese army rations. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Are these real Japanese military combat rations?
Is this one, whole set for 24 hours or are they a few different single meal packs?
Any guesses what all this would be worth today?
Help with Japanese rations
Re: Help with Japanese rations
Yes these are indeed real Japanese Military rations. I had some of these back around the mid 2000's that I got from a friend in Japan. They were not bad tasting at all (including the canned ones). I am not sure if they make this type of ration anymore though.
As for value, as most of that stuff may not edible, I would say less than $100 for the lot.

They are real Japanese army rations.
The cans are type I Rations, the bags are type II rations.
I would be interested in buying some of the cans and especially the biscuits :) (maybe even everything, if you want to sell)
I sent you a message :)

Re: Help with Japanese rations
Yeah these are real JSDF rations. The canned ones are called type 1 and i think 3 of them made up 1 meal. The retourt ones are type 2 and one of them make up a meal. They both go for quite a lot and are pretty rare, even here.
Currently has: US MRE, FSR, JSDF type 2 2017
