Thoughts?

Now that war is afoot, thoughts on how high MRE pricing will go up?

Same price at Commissary on U.S. Base's. $10.15 per. Plus 5% surcharge. Only good thing, they are fresh, less than or at 1 year, pack-date.

Fuel prices are totally in flux here, going up 10-20 cents/gallon overnight or even when you're in line. crazy.

Well I've seen a huge increase in prices herein the UK and of course supplies have dwindled to an extent.

A case of MREs 12 months ago cost around £70 for ≤12 month old including delivery. Today, £150 is the cheapest I've seen them.
Speciality rations such as Canadian IMP's have gone from around £25 each to £40 each.
French 24h RCIR from ££12-15 each to £25-40 each.

Even freeze-dried meals (Which I'm a huge collector of as I use them for both preparedness and camping) such as Summit to eat meals have gone from around £4.50 to £6.50 - 7 a meal. (Though just before the recent events early 2022 I managed to get a great deal which saw me gets stock of 150 meals for £3 each thanks to a major brand website discount glitch 😉)

Other freeze dried brands have also seen similar increases.

Real Turmat Field meals and Artic rations have seen an increase from around £13-15 each to £20-25 each.

Conversely I have seen new type (2021/22) British army rations cases on sale from various outlets for £120-130 a case which isn't too bad in today's climate as I guess they have ramped up production.
