Recently acquired this awesome WWII British ration cigarette tin with many of the (what I assume) original cigarettes. It also appears by the stamps that a US GI mailed it home during or after the war. Does anyone know if these cigarettes are the original brand/type for this container? I tried to do some research but couldn’t find much info. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: After some asking around in the tobacco community, apparently these are Austrian cigarettes made between 1943-1946. Wonder the story of how these got into a British tin and then mailed to America!
