Hey guys - I just wanted to say hi and welcome our newest member - wasabi_japan. He runs the website "Die Kampfzuteilung" that I mentioned over in this thread on the vodka/brandy ration: viewtopic.php?t=1190

His site is:

http://becky3379.web.fc2.com/

I went through it last night and he has really good pics of a whole bunch of rations. wasabi_japan was kind enough to agree to let me use some of his pictures on mreinfo.com so I can't wait to get the Australian, Spanish, and Italian rations pages up!

How did he score honey bbq chicken pocket sandwiches? We haven't even seen them on here, yet!

BTW, did anyone else have trouble viewing his pages? On every page, I had very little text and lots of "?"s. I don't know if Firefox did not know how to handle his code, or what. I know one thing. I wish I was shopping where he is. He's got some good stuff. It makes me want to trade for some foreign rations. :)

Hello! I'm wasabi_japan. Please call me wasabi.
I'm glad to get to know you!

As you know I am Japanese, and it's difficult for me to communicate in English. I am poor at writing English.

Recently, I got Belarussian combat ration from my Japanese friend.
It's so interesting, and looks cool!

Lifesaver, I had that same problem viewing wasabi's pages at first - with either Firefox or Opera. Then I tried it in Internet Explorer and IE prompted me to install the Japanese language pack. Once I did that, all my browsers started displaying the Japanese characters. Of course, I was no better off in reading it than with just blank characters or question marks...but it looked nicer. :-)

wasabi...I think there's something with your web host provider that prevents people from linking to your pictures. So when you posted that link above, it won't display on an mreinfo.com web page - but it will display if it's posted on your web page. Here's a link to the picture you posted - this one might work if you click on it. If it doesn't work (if you get an error from fc2.com, then you'll need to copy the link and paste it into a blank browser window:

kato, nice list of links. I'd seen a couple of them before (such as phototec's) but I'll have to check out the others you posted.
