Does this contain a ration?

Post by Oscarmreration » Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:34 pm

I have recently come across this british mod 1990 aircraft 11 man inflatable liferaft and am wondering if it contains a ration. If it doesnt contain a ration I will keep it as it is but if it does I will pull the cord and eat it. Cant find much online

I have no idea about the ration inside....but when you pull the cord can you film it or take pictures?...This lifeboat emergency kit is awesome! I would put money on it having boiled sweets and carb tablets. Maybe a fishing kit? Super cool find!

From my (very quick) research, it seems like this is probably American, possibly canadian or australian. I don't think its British. I also dont think it has anything else in it, from what I can tell, it is just an inflatible life raft. It also says no 'E' (emergency?) pack. I'd still open it though if I were you :D
On an impossible mission to get every ration ever :D

Looking for Vintage, rare and just plain strange items

Following on from what CAP said, these probably arent british, there is no NSN and as far as I know, no lifeboat rations have been procured for a while
Check out my ORP menu spreadsheet: https://bit.ly/2NqUFRX | I have: | British 24HR Box Rations | French RCIRs | Type I EPA |Danish Rations

Will wait for the weather to get better then I will pull the cord. I should've thought it was american as it was found on an ex usaf base 😂 will make sure to post a video of me pulling the cord and if there is any sort of ration/ survival kit inside

Did you ever get around to pulling the cord?
I came, I saw, I ate some rations then fell asleep amongst the clover.
