a few days ago I got an awesome package in the mail, this was all from a footlocker of a deceased soldier (RIP). it's a mix of stuff from 1935 to 1958, so lots of stuff from nam and a bit from ww2 (or just after or before). sadly, a lot of the stuff was in terrible conditon when i got it, and the can of sardines has leaked over a lot of things, and being jostled around in the mail didn't help. in an effort to help everything last longer, some stuff has been wrapped in clingfilm and I put a few things in the freezer. if anyone has any other ideas on how to keep it in ok condition, please tell me!
nescafe coffee packs
vitamin tablets, matches and salt. the salt was leaking but i sealed it up with some tape, the matches are a bit moist
sugar packs, only 1 wan't leaking. the green is just the ink, not mold.
salt
morphine and paracetemol

tea and sugar, sufficient for 1 brew
pk gum. the other side is badly stained, the gum still looks edible though.
baby can opener
cadburies milk
rice dated 1968
oldest oatmeal block? possibly ww2 at oldest.
mars bar. still intact but turned black. in a paper wrapper.
meat bars (pork and steak and kidney). dated 1948, 1955 and 1956.

sardines dated 1935. you can still here there dried remains inside the can.
