Looking for additional info RAF WW2 Special Ration Type C

Post by QuickBricks » Sat Dec 07, 2019 1:38 am

I just recently picked up 4 tins from a UK seller of the British RAF Special Ration Type C.

I have been able to find limited information about these rations other than the obvious that
they are British and from WW2 and what the writing says on the label. Historicalflyingclothing.com
had one of these which sold and they called it a flying ration and was harder to find. Another site
also called this ration rare. Almost all other examples of the few of these I have found online have
been in much worse shape. I do have to point out that some google image search shows these
4 tins from an older auction house photo.

If anyone has any information on what these truly are, if they are rare or not, or have some links to some literature
on these that would be greatly appreciated. I am planning to document my rations and would
love to provide to most accurate information.

Cheers
