Hey chaps

These have appeared for sale and I cannot find out any info about them.

They are from UK I think as they have UK drinks but the rest of the pack has items I have not seen in a UK general ORP before. Are they from the UK but for UN missions?

They have a heating stove not an FRH, no spork, all the packaging looks different (apart from the drinks). The box does not have normal ORP markings as well. All very interesting.
Anyone have any info?

Interesting but they are not that new - 2017 PD and BBE 03 2020..

They don't have that bold black type face on all the packets ?

They are marked "UN Consumption only". Hence I bet they were probably made by "Vestey Foods" or one of the other UK ration contractors for UN troops.

Im pretty sure this is a mix of brtiain/france and some other countries or it is just simply the UKs turn for the UN rations and they hired vestey foods out to make more varieties?

I think these are UN rations, possibly prototypes, given to the British army for field testing, or many just because they had extra stock.

This is quite possible, weren't the last UN rations made by that Spanish company?

The vendor split a case so I bought a single one.

This is definitely a UK packed ration, but with many items I have never seen in a standard ORP.

Chocoblock bar
Fortified Apple drink (very sweet and cloudy with a soapy mouthfeel not like the fortified apple in an ORP at all)
Pineapple chunks in syrup retort pouch (never seen in any ration I have seen reviewed)
KFS set (no spork)
Pan cleaner (like CR1M)
Fruit jelly bar (like in French)
Banana and Date bar (never seen in any review by me)
Esbit stove with tabs
Curry powder (lots!)
Chilli powder (lots!)
Tomato Ketchup
Hot sauce (2 packs and not Tobasco or Hot Diggety Dog like in ORP)
Maple bun (only fruit types in ORP)
Salt and Pepper (none in ORP)

Very interesting. Gundog would love it you could add curry powder, chilli powder, hot sauce and tomato ketchup!

I got a case of these, they are definitely new UN rations, all the menu sheets and date guides talk about the UN and to report any issues to the UN.
