Prized ration?

Post by Amelieee1 » Fri Aug 09, 2019 3:33 pm

What is your prized ration? Is there a story behind it or was it a lucky ebay find?

Personally mine is my 2004 british orp menu c that I got off ebay for cheaper then a 2016/17 one from my local surplus store.

Would love to hear your stories!

Nice story! Hope you didnt trigger the alarms! Also the FRH gas is flammable so if you do set it off in the office keep it away from the stove!

A friend gave me a 1942 B unit, such a beautiful item to have on your shelf! Hopefully one day, I can say a K Ration is my prized ration lol.

For me it has to be the one ration I want most. Generally I share my rations whether they be IMP's, MRE's, or whatever with my scouts but the one I want for me is an RCIR Menu #4...have had so many things going on I haven't been able to grab one at all in recent months, so for me that is my prized ration
Sellers/Traders I recommend: ViperGTS x2, Salty Croc, donjuan_21,Sturm44,Ration_Man

Vietnam era LRRP, Chili con carne. Actually had a real chili flavor, and the chocolate covered coconut bar was fantastic. You had to be careful and completely rehydrate it, though.

A WW2 K-ration breakfast unit that a buddy here in the forums hooked me up with. It sits in a glass display case in my man cave next to my WW2 D-ration. One non-ration, but ration-related item that I particularly like is my original Civil War folding spoon. When I hold it always makes me wonder who it belonged to, where it traveled to, and makes me imagine the conversations that the person might have had with other soldiers while he used it to eat his rations.

Mine is any old brown bagger.

I remember these fr when my dad would go off during his reserve weekends or to "summer camp". He would always bring home brown bag mres, and I would especially go for the cocoa and orange beverage base. To this day, they are my favorite ration components.

Old brown bagger 1981 Beef Slices for me too. It was my first MRE ever...when I was barely a teenager. Another member here had one and we traded for it. Click my link below, if you want, I just reviewed it. I have older stuff, but this one brought me back in time.
