Yeah. Im going fishing for extended periods, so these 24hr mres are an absolute godsend. All I take extra is 5l drinking water per day.
Is there anything better than sticking 2 hobbies together?

Damn that sounds fun, what are you going fishing for.
Re: Hungerbuster.
Those 24hr packs are very convenient for outdoor hobbies, they are a bit heavy, but easily consumed

Good choice on the French rations, they are among the best. Those won't have FRH's but they do all have stoves. There is a little foldable food can handle for the mains in the stove kit. Keep your US MRE spoons for the French rations, the little folding spoon in the French stove kit is a joke. The French salads are often meant to be eaten cold, even if they have meat, not that you can't heat it if you want to. When heating US rations, most components are better heated but the FRH bag is small. If there is not enough room, just Gundog it - take the FRH element out and throw it and the components into the primary outer MRE bag and use that - plenty of room in there. Could even heat up the French mains that way. If the US FRH's are weak/old, throw some salt in with the water, that usually helps.

Cheers for the info. The U.S. are just a curiosity.
Ive had both types of ration before, im supplying the food so the french rations are a real special treat. I had them before, my brother ate half of it.
I hope my friend likes them, he is more accustomed to the brit orp.
I have a european frh and a brit hexy stove.
I think I can streach out 2 U.S. rations per 24h, its not like im really over exerting myself, sitting down with a fishing rod.
