FR 2000 Field Ration
Posted: Sun May 05, 2019 7:10 pm
Hi all, I took a trip to a local Army Surplus store recently and happened across something very unique. I purchased these field rations for $10. I asked the clerk what these were and he said they were "rare NATO rations", but beyond that, I don't know anything else about them.
Can anyone identify where these came from and who they belonged to? I see that it has a NATO number on it, but as far as I know, many things do. That doesn't necessarily make it a "NATO ration" as he suggested, so I'm not sure he was even correct. I do see that they were made by Drytech and I know they manufacture rations for the Norwegian government, perhaps that's what these are? And what year were they made? I see that they expired in January 2004, so that must mean they are a few years older than that. In either case, any information would be appreciated! And I when I open these, I will take more photos and post them to the Reviews section of the forum.
EDIT: I posted a review of this ration here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=10344
