That would simply mean, if caught, your "local" would be in Federal trouble. I couldn't morally do that to someone else.

If you find a eBay add you like, send the seller an email and pay them with PayPal...

Using PayPal credit is how I purchased many of my rations. It's not going to matter how it's paid for, if caught.

In other words you have had very bad luck, and everyone else will be able to carry on taking their chances with reasonable hope of getting their goods.

I tend to agree. I should be okay, but now that I have a case record and am on their radar, I can no longer take the risk. I am hoping purchasing from a local company will avoid this problem.

Yes but the key part I believe would be that you buy it by paying with PayPal after contacting the seller through messages... They will control ebay transactions but not ebay private messages I expect, if you pay it outside ebay there is not as many traces to easily follow

At this point, it is still unknown as to how they were alerted to my transaction. There are theories which I won't discuss as none can be confirmed. It would only be speculation but there are several possibilities and some of those have nothing to do with eBay itself, or the way I paid for them. Also, I may not have been the only one to have gotten caught up in this particular incident, take that for what you will.

I am also concerned for video reviewers and buy/sell forums as some have made it obvious from who and how they received the ration, or how they are shipping which may not have been legal.

This is very alarming... This might be the beginning of the end for foreign ration within the US... Sounds like they are getting serious about this. I'm definitely taking heed of this. Bummer! Thank you for the update. Terribly sorry about what your going through. Keep us in the know!

At the bottom of the letter is a warning that disclosure or use of the email I received may violate the law which could result in civil or criminal penalties so I can't even post the letter.

BullS*&%. FOIA means that unless it falls under a security clearance designation then it's open to the public.

Someone's trying to pull some stuff over on you. Find a lawyer, most will do a free consultation.

Want an e.g. UK ration from UK, let is send to an UK member and them forward it to you etc. there will never be a trackable shipment UK->US via Ebay/Paypal system
