Dear norge,

the "new style" Dutch rations are actually rations with contents that are commercially available. (These boxes have no text on the outside except for a little ink stamp that says 'content made of commercial items'.) These rations are made to replace the standard rations while on exercise or when supplies of standard rations are exhausted.
The cardboard box of all Dutch standard rations only contains the breakfast and lunch components. Main entrees come in cans or pouches. I will post some pics of the latest Dutch rations later on.

Upcoming in the next few days: A picture of a Netherlands "LAV" ration. LAV = Lange AfstandsVerkenner = Long Range Reconaissance.

Heads up: British magazine 'Combat and Survival' has an article about the Brits' new Multi-Climate Ration and Hot Climate Supplements in its August issue.
