Pate can also be a "solid" one, not a "spread" only.
They can come either in a sausage

"Wurtz"?! Did you meant "Wurst"?
"Wurst" in German does not only describe the out shape, you can also habe "Streichwurst" if it´s a spread.

That liver pate, comes in a sauge shape (Wurst) but you spread it on a bread:

Yeah I didn't understand that because here pate is only spread. And yes I meant wurst it's on your last link as google search word.

That´s because the French word pâté means a spread but also a "solid" pate:

Same in German. A "Streichwurst" is a spread pate, but a "Wurst" can be a sausage but also a spread pate.

OK, when I get the balls to open it, I take picture, and eat it with the Panzer crackers and lite biscuits. Those lite biscuits are like American puffed-wheat cereal, but in slab-form. No doubt. Not bad.
After the Chicken and the Egg, came the "Omelet"!
