Sorry for OT in advance...

I´m NOT a First Responder and the Audi either!!

I´m a professional paramedic and the Audi Quattro is my duty car as I´m the department chief of the 4th biggest EMS station of the whole state of Bavaria and the commanding paramedic (on-scene-coordinator) in case of a mass casulaty incident...

First Responder.... pah... pah... pah...

They are bored, volunteered red-neck-fire-department members wifes...

We have only blue lights in Germany, except tow away trucks - they are yellow, but all other like police, fire trucks, ambulances have blue lights.

See little flick of "my" last car accident at night I had to respond:

high speed accident at interstate A3 (Autobahn).
Remember, we don´t have a speed limit on German interstates

Back to topic...

I also like the EPa "Hamburger" beef patties in tomato sauce :D

Over here, all public safety personnel (police, fire, EMTs, paramedics) are considered First Responders, as are volunteer members of those agencies.

That's odd, I seem to remember driving through urban areas where there was a 120KmH speed limit, and in some areas the speed limit was as low as 60KmH.

As a matter of fact, http://www.autobahnatlas-online.de/A3.htm has a listing of the portions of the A3 where there are speed limits.

Yes in cities and some highways there are speedlimits. But on some other highways there is a blanket speed limit. So driving 300km/h or 200mph is legal.
I got two tickets in this week for driving 10km/h too fast. :x :x

Right, for some reason they intend speed limits e.g. construction ahead, if the interstate is very close to or in a (bigger) city (to reduce noise) they limit the speed temporaly down to 120-100-80-60km/h (called speed funnel)

But we don´t have a generall speed limit at all interstates like I can remember from Florida 75mph.
Here we can drive as fast as we want to  (250km/h no prob an legal)
There is a generell speed limit for trucks, heavier than 7.5 tons down at 80km/h, also for vehikles with a trailer at 80km/h.

In Germany only member of a volunteer fire deparment are called First Responder.
To call a paramedic or just an EMT a First Responder here is like calling an US Marine/Ranger a boyscout...

The staion is just 3 minutes far from my house. I can see him starting by looking out of my window every time.

Yeah, I know. The last time I was over there though, I tried to keep it down to about 230KmH; it was snowing pretty heavily.

The speed limit on most of the US Interstate System is usually 65MPH, though there are areas where it is 70 or 75. The state of Montana used to not have a speed limit but they had to implement one to continue to receive their highway funds from the government. I can't imagine driving 75MPH in Florida, seems that there is always someone driving 45MPH in the fast lane (that would be the passing lane on the autobahn.)

I´m sorry - you are right. The speed limit in Florida was 70mph - not 75mph...
