Hi vespa, welcome to the board!

As I tried some international ones myself in the past few months I'd recommend to grab a few Norwegian Arctic Field Rations. They come in a great variety and are the only European ones to feature the MRE pizza.

If you look for German EPAs, try to find a type 1-5 2015 production EPA, which expire 04/2019. The 2015 ones offer the biggest selection of snacks you can find in an EPA. Type 5 is vegetarian, and any of the other ones I can recommend for their main meal choices. I attached a photo for reference.

acquired but yet to try: Australia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Russia (Mountain, IRP), Ukraine

The US MRE while good enough is clearly lacking in wow factor, I never really found it very substantial, it seems to be "ok" but not quite there, the content will probably last you 8 hours not much more.
It's only meant to last for about 8 hours anyway
You're probably right mate, I haven't seen any 24hr version, I find that quite curious, I will say they do put a quite a bit in the pack, they could make more of it IMO.

I'm looking for the Chicken Fajita version as I believe this is considered the best of all menus, read a few US soldiers comments about it, highly tradeable between troops :)
You should check out the US First Strike Ration if you want their 24 hour ration. I personally find them underwhelming as they basically contain a lot of caffeine infused items, sugary snacks and gas station food...Nothing really substantial. My personal opinion is that the French nailed it with the RCIR.

I'm hearing lots of recommendations for French RCIR.
Spanish seems to be getting good reviews.
British ORP is getting good reviews.

On the other hand, I've been told Italian Rations are a bit overrated.

I can only speak from what I've seen in reviews, but I'd have to agree that the Italian are overrated simply based on the contents that I have seen come out of them.

The thing is that they are uncomon... Even in Italia they are expensive and hard to come by... And menus B and F have the licour wich makes them even more expensive...
I have Spanish rations permanently, feel free to ask :!:
