Could someone please tell me how i can identify IMP production dates? Also, how long are they normally edible past that date.
Thanks,
Spike

Re: Canadian IMP Dates
Canadian IMP dates are 5 digit instead of the 4 you would find on American stuff. Thus, they use the last 2 digits of a year then the day of production... so "14235" would be the 235th day of 2014.spikeomega wrote:Could someone please tell me how i can identify IMP production dates? They are edible about 3-5 years past that date but many of the items don't hold up as well as MRE items.. especially commercially packaged food like chocolate bars or granola bars. Also be weary of the silver foil pouches of cookies in the rations from 2013 and 2014, they can get very moldy.
