You know what I mean. Those dry vacuum sealed compressed bars. What's easy to get?
Are they all just basically flour and fat and minerals and stuff?
I'm asking because I got this SF-9 (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7508) and it contains raisins and apricots (look at the photo in the thread, click on it to zoom in)
I want to open it and taste it, but I'd like some reference bars
So, what are the standard ones that "most people" would know what they taste like or that are easy to get?
I've never tried ANY emergency bar, ever, but so far I've found these to seem popular:
German NRG-5
https://www.survivor-food.de/en/Emergen ... -pack.html
Norwegian "BP-5" and "Seven Oceans"
http://www.gcrieber-compact.com/product ... -products/
US Datrex. Both "White" and "Blue" seem to have identical ingredients and energy value, just different number of bars per pack???
http://www.datrex.com/index/catalog/cd_ ... /1?ppage=1
So are there any obvious ones I missed and are there any easily obtainable ones that contain fruit?
Emergency bars, emergency rations...

You can get Russian Marine Pro bars, they are popular in RF and neighbouring countries. Certainly more popular then Norwegian and German bars in their countries.

Ah yes, I remember seeing those too. Forgot about them, thanks.Asger wrote:You can get Russian Marine Pro bars, they are popular in RF and neighbouring countries.
They also seem to basically consist of flour, sugar and fat it seems.
Any similar types with some sort of fruit out there?

I would absolutely love to find the first strike bars in bulk or something similar to them esp. The apple cinnamon. They are fantastic!
