Russian Ration Identification ?

I recently obtained this Russian. So-called, Winter ration, 24 hr. I see many types of Russian rations reviews. Can anyone break down the different types of Russian rats? This particular one was sealed in plastic, had sticker pack date 11-2016. Exp. 7-2018. All the items inside show what I believe to be MFG. dates mid to late 2016. Did a little tedious translating, and could find the magic word for 'Brains' only on the little can ( MO3RN ) but the N is backwards. Has interesting can-opener also, as seen in pics. In this one, the cheese is in the soft-metal tub, the brain pate(with greens) is in the small can. Can make out on outer package, 4574 calories, menu 2. Interesting ration, never had this one before. The recent demand for Russian IRPs has seen many of the manufacturers of military IRPs to produce these rations, geared specifically towards the civilian market. The winter IRPs I have are in a white camo box and include the usual items such as kasha, beef top grade, beef and vegetables etc; along with the other usual items like apple butter, crackers and beverages. The stoves and matches are the usual aswell. The extra items in mine are a 3 pack of chemical hand warmers. The can opener is a new one to me though...

It's my understanding that this is a commercial, non-military-issue one meant for the public/tourists.

I have feeling that these are high-class phony military rats, or else meant for low-grade panzer-grenadiers, or tourists. We know the Ruskie's use retort pouches now, So. Makes me want to eat brains, More Brains!

Actually, I was very lucky there was no damage to any items in the box, with that wacky can-opener floating around loose. They could have put a plastic-protector thingy on the sharp edge, at least.

That can-opener looks pretty stout for what's ostensibly a disposable item.

I have the same ration at home - this is produced for civilian market as well as this one: - both are from this company http://www.alrami-group.ru/ (the site is temporarily locked...)

Very nice review, Delicious. One item most reviewers miss, the apple jam/jelly is Not that. It is Apple-Butter. Apple Butter is popular in Eastern USA mountains. Always canned-home-made in batches, over fire, in a huge iron pot, and very brown color with spices. Must stir for hours, non-stop, thus changing stirring person.

It is not a military ration. It is the commercial version
