Bidding on MILORG NORWAY WW2 ration!

Post by Nordic » Wed Jun 29, 2016 3:06 pm

Hi guys,

I am so excited tonight! I have come accross an auction from an estate previously owned by a milorg military from ww2.
Milorg was Norways biggest opposition movement during ww2. more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milorg

I am bidding on two rations found in his house after he passed away. I have no idea what`s inside them, hehe :)

Fingers crossed, I really hope I will win.

I hope you have it your way in Norway! I'm currently stuck in a couple of online auctions. One of 42 accessory items and a Polish 24 Hour ration I don't really want :|
Good luck and may your rations stay unspoiled!

Oh yeah! I had it my way :) :)

This is so exciting! I had an hour long conversation with the seller who told me alot from his life, his fathers life, and about ww2.
The seller is a former policeman, has been in alot of ww2 movies from Norway.

The previous owner is suspected of being a member of a smaller group inside Milorg, called Stay behind. This was a smaller secret group inside milorg that was secret for the public, and many facts is still hidden, as some of the members who still lives today wont say anything. Keywords: Stay behind - Rocambole - Lindus - Blue mix - Operation gladio

He is 99.9% sure the content is made in Norway, the rations has no markings, since if they where captured it wouldnt reveal who they where. The rations for the rest of milorg was probably british.

In the picture you see a beret and a badge with the number 13 on it. The number 13 indicates this man had a high rank.
The seller has kept one ration for himself, donated one to a museum, given one away to his son, and are now selling two to me :)
This is rare! Im so excited!
