Customs are insane... even between Canada and the United States. Going from Canada to the States is the goofiest. My other attempted to send her pen pal a box of goodies last Christmas and it got returned because she included some packaged candy. I called US Cistoms and was told that boughten food cannot be shipped to the US but that homemade food can be sent. So, by their logic, a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar wouldn't get through, but
'homemade brownies' would be ok.
I've had MRE's shipped from the US to me labled 'camping supplies.'
On the other hand, I wanted to send a friend of mine in Texas a bottle of Newfie Screech. I asked the postmaster what to put on the shipping lable and she said, "Um, lets say its a glass ornament." It got through.
It just takes a little creative ingenuity.

Camping supplies is the magic word in the ration world.. It's simply magic.
Sure, someone may one day kill me with my own gun.
But they'll have to beat me to death with it because it's empty.
