Importing into the US?

Post by fdsman » Thu Jan 28, 2010 2:59 am

I figure since I'm finally 18, I should get around to trying at least one foreign ration.

Does anyone know where I can order an RCIR and successfully make it through customs? At this point I really don't care what menu it is.

Hey,

I have a few RICRs that I would be willing to sell/trade, but shipping will not be cheap, and I'm not sure what the import restrictions are?

PM me if you want to know more, I have some British and Polish stuff too! :D

I was able to get a RCIR from clogger on the forum. It arrived sealed and safe... I've also received a British 24 hr pack from a UK company safely. Seems that if you don't have many rations coming, they tend to not be picked over too much.

Even still, it can be a luck of the draw.

Hey guys. I have had hit and miss with my orders aboard. So far I have got 2 international rations and 1 MIA. I think the latter one to simply be the seller cheating me. My French RCIR came fine so was the same with my German ration. Consider all the bigger fish customs usually has to fry and as long as your seller doesn't mark it as an obvious ration. A lot of what if's seem to come into play when dealing with these things! Anyhow I have 3 Brit 24 hour rations and a case of RCIR's coming. I will be sure to give a full report on their status once it arrives.

Just ordered a 3 pack of French RCIR rations off of Ebay.

There are a few left. One has 2 boxes of Menu 5 (Chicken in Basquaise sauce / Oriental Sald), the other is 5 boxes of Menu 4 (Beef tortellini / Coalfish with rice and vegetables).

I was able to score a mix of 3 menus (3, 4, 5).

Yup. He's the one I ordered from... Quite a bargain compared to trying to get them from overseas. It could cost $50 just for 1 RCIR...

My box cost 156 Euros with the shipping. There are quite a few pork centered ones so I will probably sell them off to people here. Anyway I will keep everyone updated.

Got my box (12 RCIR's) from France today. I won it on Ebay on January 30th so it took awhile to get here but I am sure that was because of weight. Also my British rations came no problem within a couple weeks of ordering :D
