Republic of Korea Army has 3 types of ration. Each type has 3 menus.
I ate all the types when I was in the Army.
In Korean we call it 전투식량(Pronunciation : Jeon-tu-sick-ryang), which means "Combat Ration" in Korean.
Packages of Type 1 ration.
Contents of Type 1 ration.
- Type 1
- Mainly contains 2 steamed rice & 3 side dishes includes Kimchi.
Type 2 package and contents.
- Type 2
- Dry-frozen rice & chocoball and miso soup (ROKA soldiers usually call it as "s**t soup". The color of soup is just like s**t..)
\
Type 3 package.
- Type 3
- Same as the type 1 but it has 'self heating pack' inside. 3 side dishes, chocoball and a bit dried pound cake.
Later I'll post detailed review. Now my laptop's bluetooth doesn't work.
Usually I send the pictures on my cellphone via bluetooth.

Re: ROKA Rations
I welcome you, Herr_Braun.
Thank you for sharing a picture.
I looked at Type 3 for the first time.
Many South Korean dealers participate in the military event in Japan.
I purchased Type 2 there.
It was very delicious.

Re: ROKA Rations
Bypah, I agree.
It is difficult to get MRE of a new design in Japan.
Shipping cost is expensive and the customhouse of U.S. confiscates it.
