Each has an 18-month shelf life and includes a mixture of dry foods and boil-in-the-bag pouches,
Thats well under half the life of the current packs, they are normally stored for 4 years then sold on... sounds like these will have a high turn around if only stored for 18 months.

Garron, true with the shelflife, but I've got a feeling these MCRs won't be going out of date. As hot weather rations for Afghan they won't be sat in a warehouse in Donnington or Gutersloh or whatever for years - they'll be all scoffed by the (many) lads on ops at the moment...
