CZECH Army ration

Here's a genuine "Canned Nourishment Ration (KDP), Option No. II".
And it is opened especially for you, my dear ration afficionados, showing all the contents!

Contents:
1 Spicy risotto
1 Pork meat with carrots
2 Processed cheese 75 gram
1 Lunch meat 100 g
1 Salty crackers (Crackers) 125 g
1 Sweet cookies (Hartkeks) 125 g
3 Jam 20 g
2 coffee extract 2 g
2 Separately packed tee 1,5 g
8 Separately packed sugar 5 g
1 Drink multivitamin 35 g
1 Instant fruit drink 45 g
1 Bitter chocolate 50 g
1 Chewing gum (4)
2 Separately packed salt 2 g
4 Multipurpose paper
3 refreshment serviette
1 PE bag
1 Instruction for warming up of the canned meals
1 List of KDP components.

In my experience Czechs do not often drink coffee with milk. maybe that explains why there is no coffee milk powder in these rations.

I haven't tasted it yet. Probably it will take some time to eat some of it, but when I do, I will let you know.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing the photos. That's the first one I've seen.

the name..."konzervova" is similar to the spanish "conservas" which is one of the words for canned good/food. Is similar to the EPa's.

I have seen them in the japanese ration sites and once in ebay and it was sold like gold $$$$$$....
Nice aquarius!!!!

Fanny and Freddy nationalised, Lehmann bancrupt, McCain still talking about 'victory' after 5 years of defeat, Ike hit Texas.
Is there only bad news??? No, not anymore!!
Because today I decided to give the CZ rations a try, and share my findings with you. My wife was working late and I had no decent food in the fridge. So chear up and enjoy the latest news on Czech rations.

Okay, I ate the Pikante Risotto. According to the label the contents are, rice, meat, rise, stewed peppers with tomato puré and onions, and lard.
The cold contents in the can didn't look very tatsefull to me. After warming up in the micro wave the contents did get warm, but it took a lot of time (probably not much water in it). The texture was still not very attractive...
I had a hard time discovering the pepper and the ketchup!
After adding some extra salt, pepper and garlic it was reasonable well to eat. Not really exciting, but absolutely edible. Even a few pieces of onion could be seen.
I would rate it a 6 on a scale from 1-10 (10=best).

This meal was accompagnied with a glass of 'vitaminised' water. The vitamins come from the tablets in the tube. It tastes not good. Anyone familiair with the taste of Vitamin B2 knows what I mean. I added the small pouch with sugar to make it drinkable. I rate it a 4.
