Post by niklas » Mon Sep 12, 2005 2:21 pm

Hi! New here, excelent forum !!!!!!!!!

Are any of you guys intrested in the Swedish/Norweigan combat rations? They are pretty cool. You get them as a kit to last a day, breakfast/Lunch/dinner. They include freeze dryed main course and alot of extras such as chocolate, te, chewing gum, candy, crackers, jam drinking chockolate, energy mix and more. I don't have any hole one's at home right now but i'll get some and take some pics for you.

Those look pretty cool! I would like to see the contents whenever you get pics up. Do they come with a picture of ABBA in there? Or a small bottle of Absolut? LOL!

In DirtyDave's perfect Swedish ration, there'd be a bottle of Absolut with a picture of ABBA on it.

Additional information about the Swedish ration:

These rations come from a Norwegian company called "Drytech".
Their name is "Field Ration 2000" and is of Nato standard.
The Swedish army name for this ration is "Jägarranson" or "Jaegerration"
so you understand what I am talking about.
The Swedes think this ration doesnt have the food needed for rangertype units in coldclimate
and has supplied it with more candy and spreads in it.
The main meals are prepared with "hot-water-and-boil-in-the-bag" technique.

For more information you could check this homepage:

Zizka,
Do you know if these are commercially available? It looks like something to try although can some be bought over the Internet? If so can you provide a link here on this forum? thanks
