Spanish rations on eBay

Post by kman » Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:14 pm

If anyone is looking for Spanish rations, I found a bunch listed by a guy from Spain on eBay. Here's one of the auctions:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0139580157

It looks like he has a bunch of these from different menu types for sale. His price is pretty good - EUR 7.99. But shipping from Spain kills the deal for me - he said it would be EUR 18.00 to ship one ration.

Oh well...maybe someone else can take advantage of this.

Lesson learned for today: search http://www.ebay.es for "RACION INDIVIDUAL".

Didn´t know, that spanish rations are here, in Germany, a prohibited item. Maybe they also contain a claymore....

Read what happens after I tried the link:

Dear User:

Unfortunately, access to this particular category or item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in your home country. Based on our discussions with concerned government agencies and eBay community members, we have taken these steps to reduce the chance of inappropriate items being displayed. Regrettably, in some cases this policy may prevent users from accessing items that do not violate the law. At this time, we are working on less restrictive alternatives. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we hope you may find other items of interest on eBay.

Thank You.

This usually appears when you search on ebay USA for "Hilter", "Waffen-SS" or similar from Germany, but rations?!

I inquired for the shipping costs to the Netherlands: 35.00 euro's for four rations. So apart from the restrictions, that was too much for me.
Cheers  Nawt.

Kman,
Hey I wanted to post this in the forum here. I purchased the 4 rations from the guy in Spain that was selling them. I guess he was selling only 4 since he didn't list any more in stock. Anyway I inquired about shipping to the US and it was 30 Euros (USD 41.53) and the US conversion on the rations was USD 11.05 per each one. So about 85.00 USD as the final cost. I'm thinking the amount for 4 rations was a bit high but what the hell I am curious and intrigued to find out what these taste like and what's in them. Soon as they show up I will get a report out to the forum memebers here and hope to have a taste test.

Also I hope to have a German EPA at my house soon as well, :D Stay tuned.

That's pretty cool, Treesuit - I can't wait to see what you have to say about those Spanish rations. And hopefully we'll see some pics, too!
