MRE gum (caffeine type) source?
MRE gum (caffeine type) source?
I can't remember the name but I saw the caffeine MRE gum on E-bay. Is there a cheaper source???
I don't know if this is the same stuff you're looking for but I've bought some of this before:

It does the job as advertised - keeps you awake! I can't say as the taste lasts more than 30 seconds, though. But when you need to stay awake and can't stand any more coffee, this stuff woks.

Where'd you see the part about the minimum order being a case? I'm looking at the order form and it looks like it'll let you order a 6 pack for $7.65 or a tray for $28.80. I'm not putting an order in so maybe you're seeing that limit after you hit the submit button?
If you can't get it from them, it looks like Amazon has it for $6.50 for a six pack:

Don't know of a retail source for sure, but I'd think logical places might be convenience stores and truck stops that also have a retail store. You might want to give the company a call to see if it is even distributed to retail outlets, as even the source on Amazon appears to be directly from the company.
And just so that the desire to save on shipping doesn't become penny-wise and pound foolish, the shipping charge for a 6 pack from the company through the Amazon listing was $3.73 (I didn't complete the order). If you have to drive someplace that will use more than a gallon of gas for a round-trip, it could be self-defeating.
Additionally, the shipping charge, if ordered directly from the vendor's site is $1.35, 2.31, or 3.27 respectively, for 1, 2, or 3 six packs. So if you only wanted one 6 pack, it looks like you'd probably be paying less by ordering directly from MMI rather than going through Amazon.
While it's going into the FSR, you should also be aware that it was not included into MREs in 2003 by Natick because of low scores on taste.

Rather not pay shipping if possible.
