Amazon Prime Day deals on MREs

Don't know if anyone else noticed this but cases of US MREs popped up Amazon Prime for Prime Day Deals at $85/88 per box depending on which menu you're getting. I cant remember what the normal price is for a case but this works out to less than $8 per meal which seems good.

Honestly, if you have a local surplus store, you might be better off. I can get then for $50/case where I live

You are so lucky. Around these parts, they go for around $100 per case and I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I've paid that price on more than one occasion.

Current issue, fresh MREs are right at $100/case from my local AF base commissary. About $8.36 each.

Since it is illegal to sell MREs commercially, I'd be quite leery of any being sold from a store - especially at half price. What are they claiming, that they "fell off a C-130?"
