This is similar to a post on the ebay asshole general forum site.
I am brand new to buying military MRE's and the civilian ones. I bought two cases of real MRE's, with an 09 inspection date for $103.33, including shipping. I also bought a case of aPack for $69.95 including shipping. Have I been had, or should I be happy? If you could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I would say ur 2 real cases was a great deal (usually its like $60-$70 per case in my area) and I think the Apacks were are about the regular price.

$103 is a good deal for two cases - only $51.50 per case. If that's the auction that's 2 cases for $72 buy-it-now, then I'm pretty sure those cases are from January 2006 (I asked the seller). If that's the case, then those are still the 2005 menus. But it's still a good deal for fresh MREs and I wouldn't complain.
The aPack deal is a good deal as long as it includes shipping. Personally, I recommend buying from Darren at
http://www.mrefoods.com. They have aPacks for $73 which includes free shipping.

Yep, but that was a couple of years ago - right after we found that deal, the prices skyrocketed!

Sounds like that would have been around the time when the areas around the Gulf of Mexico encountered a bit of inclement weather?

Yes, right around then. Pre-Katrina, I'm pretty sure.
