French commando ration on Canadian eBay

Post by Lifesaver » Tue Jan 23, 2007 10:53 pm

I was perusing the Canadian version of Ebay when I stumbled on this. http://cgi.ebay.ca/RATION-DE-SURVIE-COM ... dZViewItem

Postage from France would put it beyond my budget for sure; but, maybe one of our European members might find it interesting.

Cool find - hopefully one of our members will buy it and post pictures for us all to enjoy.

When I was in the French army, that kind of ration didn't contain as many items (basically coffee or vanilla flavoured "Nestle" energy bars, soup extract and a tiny bloc of pemmican) but I think it can be authentic.
I also guess someone making a fake would have put a valid comsumption date on the box!

Too expensive for me anyway, maybe it's OK for a real collector, not for someone who eats the content
