THE AUCTION IS OVER - THANK YOU FOR BIDDING!
I will be reaching out to each winner individually to arrange delivery and payment. I really appreciate everyone's help - this was BlackDogBob's idea and I think it went great We raised almost $450 for the museum, which will help take case of a bunch of basics for us that we've been needing to get taken care of for quite some time. We'll get a post office box, join the American Alliance of Museums, join the Montana Nonprofit Association, acquire a conference call system for board meetings, and start working on a professional grade book scanner to add our library of books, booklets, and pamphlets to the website.
This is a big step forward, and we couldn't have done it without you!
Note: The test auction on rationmuseum.com led to one person sending money via PayPal to the museum for an item that was not actually available for sale. I have issued a full refund for that purchase and would like to extend an apology for that mistake.

Sure! The life raft ration was a 5 to 6 man one day emergency ration. It was mainly hard candy, meant to be able to hold up under high and low temperatures and it contained vitamins and chewing gum to round it out. It's from the same batch as that Steve1989 reviewed on YouTube. I'm sure because I bought them together and sent one to Steve for the review. The Charms candies inside were all produced in 1940 and are in EXCELLENT shape. There are 8 full packs of the old style sleeve-wrapper Charms, I think 10 loose candies (to fill gaps in the can), half a dozen pieces of good ol' WW2 Wrigley's PK gum, and 6 multivitamin tablets.

Is the auction still happening? I seem to recall it was being extended. I came down with a nasty bug the first of this week, and haven't kept up.
