Re: Rare C Ration B Unit Breakfast
There isn't as much info on the exact meanings of some of the can stamps from that era, so we may not find out exactly. Seeing as how it's a Breakfast B Unit I think it's safe to say that COFFE indicates that this has Coffee in it. It's probably coffee, crackers, and jam of some kind. The K4 is the part that doesn't exactly stand out. It might have been a code needed for sorting in the original warehouse or production site, or it could have some military meaning I just haven't run into before.

Yup, that was me who bought it!
I collect and reproduce rations from WWI, WWII, Korean, vietnam and up to Operation Desert Storm. Most of my ration collection is displayed for the public at events my Marine Corps History group attends.
This C ration will have a good home among a timeline display of B unit C ration development from WWII into 1980.
