Well at least in germany they are traded for 5$ per MRE so 50-60$ per case would be fair for genuine MRE´s in my opinion

Well my friend that's why I like deals here in America if you buy 20cases you can buy them for 25.00 if you buy 30 the price go's down. But I can not afford 50.00 or 60.00 plus shipping. A closed mouth does not get fed. It does not hurt to ask. What kind of food comes in a German mere? My guess is snitzel potatoes and a beer? Not being a wise guy I liked school lunches. I am open to prices Thanks jim

No need for apologizes I understand but for a family of four a couple cases would not last long in an emergency' and I was not being smart asking you what comes in a German mere id love to get sausage potatoes and a beer. But can you tell me what comes in them please thanks.

If you're looking for bulk, have a look on eBay, there are both military and civilian versions offered for decent prices. If you're only buying a case or two, $60-70/case shipped is a decent deal these days for the genuine article. Commercial (A-Pack, Sure-Pak, etc) go for $40-50. I see an entire pallet of A-Pack (with heaters) right now for $1200 + $500 freight; 48 cases x 12 MREs/case = 576 meals at about $2.95 each. They have many of the same items a "real" MRE does, but in different combinations and packaging--there is plenty of info and opinions/reviews here on this site to sort the different brands and offerings out for you.

I have 6 cases in the closet for the "just in case" scenarios, though that's just for me... Keep in mind that they do expire, some components go bad before others--so I try and rotate mine out on camping trips, at work, etc. My goal is to keep them under 10 years old, starting to weed them out once they reach 5 years.
I'm using my computer's spare resources to help find cures for diseases, analyze astronomical data, render 3D animations, simulate new materials and run climate models--what is your computer doing? http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ Or ask me for help!

No, there are 19 different types of EPas, each holding 2 entrees makes a total of 38 different entrees.
