As the title says, almost a full case of vintage MRE rations:

Ships only to Germany, but maybe it can be sorted out. I would not touch them with a ten foot pole, but maybe Steve1989 is interested

Cool find. I find it very interesting that there are only 10 in the case. I can't read the description, but I'm wondering if it's missing two because they were eaten years ago, or if two of them were ready to burst and had to be "disposed of".

Also, it's interesting that they didn't cover up that little stain on the inside of the case in a spot left open because of there being two missing. Wonder if that's just a spot caused by something outside the box during its decades in storage, or if it could have been caused by something that leaked INSIDE the case. Hmmm. The dusty appearance of the bags doesn't exactly instill hope that these were stored well. I'd definitely be interested in seeing what's in those brown bags. Steve?

Description gives no info about that. Only say´s "Case with 10 MREs left in there"

Good point - looks like 2 are missing and my guess is someone found their two favorite menus and snagged 'em years ago.
As for those stains, it's a mystery, but if I had to guess I would say something spilled on the case. Now those MCI's tend to make some worse messes on bursting than the MRE's - not to say I haven't dealt with some near-burst MRE's..! hah!
Also spot on with the dust on these - probably been traveling all over the place. Who knows of these MRE's travel/storage history! Coulda been stored in hot desert-climate for 80% of it's life.
I would bid on these if in the US - unfortunately, these shipping costs plus risk of customs make it more worth a local fellow buying them.
I have some brown bags in a pile I gotta share with you & the folks, G - stuff just like these where they were most likely stored very poorly.
Got two projects I'm working on now and one is a 5 MRE marathon and 2 of those are 80's vintage. Some of that stuff holds up so well and other parts get just downright frightening..! hehe

Most certainly! I've been pretty lucky so far in the vintage ones I've tested, but I know it's been just that, luck! I've got about a dozen more of the old "brown bags" that are just begging to be tested / reviewed.
