was going through my mre stash and found a case with insp date of 97.

the dark brown mres.

i am tempted to sell the whole case - not sure when it was packed as i just now noticed that the pack date has been sanded off the case.

but, i opened the case to check and nothing seems swollen or leaking or squishy.

bought this case at a gunshow in 97 and it's been kept indoors in a closet in air conditioning ever since.

The inspection dates are usually 3 years after the pack date - so that case is probably from 1994:

Bummer that there aren't any Nut Cakes in there but you do get the Pork w/ Rice, Corned Beef Hash, and Escalloped Potatoes w/ Ham - those are pretty classic MREs.
